US President Donald Trump reiterated that the war against Iran could end quickly, claiming that the United States has hit more than 5,000 targets and that there are now almost no targets left to strike.

Trump specified that US strikes have targeted the Revolutionary Guard command centers, air defense systems, missile launch sites, nuclear program facilities, naval vessels, and military airports. He added that the residences of political and religious leaders were also hit.

He reported that Ayatollah Ali Khamenei was killed during one of the attacks, and his son Mukhtaba has been appointed as successor. According to Trump, the main objective of the strikes has shifted from regime change or total destruction of Iran’s nuclear program to limiting Iran’s military capabilities.

Israel, however, does not share this optimism. Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz stated the operation “will continue without a time limit” until all objectives are achieved, initiating a new wave of strikes on Beirut and Iran.

Amid rising tensions, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and German Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul have called for a diplomatic solution to prevent further escalation in the region.
