Donald Trump made a light-hearted remark about the possibility of stepping down from office, suggesting it could happen “in eight or nine years.”

His comment came while discussing a newly approved tax cut package introduced by the US administration, which allows businesses to claim significant deductions on investments in plants, equipment and capital spending within the first year.

“In that way, when I leave office, let’s say in eight or nine years, I’ll be able to benefit from it myself,” Trump said, prompting laughter in the room.
