U.S. President Donald Trump has threatened to target Iran’s energy infrastructure, warning of possible strikes after peace talks between Washington and Tehran collapsed.

Speaking to Fox News, Trump said he could “take out” Iran’s energy facilities, including power plants, in a single day.

He also announced that the United States would move to blockade the Strait of Hormuz, saying American forces would prevent ships from entering or leaving the strategic waterway.

In a post on social media, Trump added that U.S. forces could “interdict” vessels linked to payments to Iran, accusing Tehran of “extortion.”

The escalation comes after 21 hours of negotiations in Pakistan failed to produce a breakthrough, leaving tensions between the two sides unresolved.
